No respect for some Archangels...sigh

It started with this thread on Etsy:

And I've wondering when Michael and Gabriel and even Raphael get the billing but not Uriel, who is the other Archangel that guarded the East Entrance to the Garden of Eden...

According to some of the religions there's a whole bunch more than these guys too.
Here's a small bit from Wiki:
Archangels are members of the second choir of angels. Archangels are found in a number of religious traditions, including Christianity, Islam, Judaism, and Zoroastrianism. Michael is the only archangel named in the Bible as recognized by both Catholic and Protestant denominations. Gabriel, named in Luke, is considered to be an archangel, as are Raphael (mentioned in the Book of Tobit) and Uriel (mentioned in the Book of Enoch). The Book of Tobit is included in the Catholic Canon of the Bible, but is considered apocryphal by Protestants. The archangels Michael, Gabriel and Raphael are venerated in the Roman Catholic Church with a feast on 29 September. Uriel doesn't get a feast day...The named Archangels in Islam are Gabriel, Michael, Raphael and Azrael.

Eastern Orthodox is a bit more fair, Uriel gets billing as one of the top seven amongst thousands...still no feast day though. The top 7 are the usuals: Michael, Gabriel and Raphael, then Uriel, Sealtiel, Jegudiel, and Barachiel.

Occultists use the Archangels for Drawing the Quarters and link specific colours with each one...I used to know this when I was going down the dark path...

In a banishing ritual of the Pentagram the Archangels are used for the invocation.

Some Catholics prescribe the days of the weeks to the seven Archangels.

Uriel did get included in Pope Gregory's list. He was ascribed to be the Overseer of Summer, Michael got Autumn, Gabriel got Winter and Raphael got Spring. Pope Gregory also named 3 other Archangels...Samiel, Oriphiel, and Zachariel.

The Christian Church had fits over the faithful worshipping the Archangels and kicked 7 of them to the celestical curb, including poor Uriel...

Our boy,umm...Archangel, Uriel:

Uriel is considered one of the wisest Archangels because of his intellectual information, practical solutions and creative insight, but he is very subtle. You may not even realize he has answered your prayer until you've suddenly come up with a brilliant new idea.

Uriel warned Noah of the impending flood, helped the prophet Ezra to interpret mystical predictions about the coming Messiah and delivered the Cabal to humankind. He also brought the knowledge and practice of alchemy and the ability to manifest from thin air, as well as illuminates situations and gives prophetic information and warnings. All this considered, Uriel's area of expertise is divine magic, problem solving, spiritual understanding, studies, alchemy, weather, earth changes and writing. Considered to be the Archangel who helps with earthquakes, floods, fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, natural disaster and earth changes, call on Uriel to avert such events or to heal and recover in their aftermath...

Is one of the most dedicated and faithful members of the host and as such was put in charge of Tartarus (another name for Hades), He Identified as both a seraph and a cherub and is most well known for his appearance in the book of Revelation where he calls forth the birds of the air to feast upon the fallen. Here his role was as Regent of the Sun. Although Raphael is credited with teaching the building of the ark, Uriel warned Noah of the impending flood. He also attacked Moses for failing to circumcise his son.

"Uriel is the spirit of ministration and peace. He helps turn our worst disappointments into our greatest blessings. He is the Archangel of salvation. The ruler over magick, devotion, alchemy, sudden changes, ("The Winds Of Change"), astrology, universal cosmic consciousness, divine order, distribution of power and universal flow, emergencies, judgment, enlightenment and insights.

Uriel appears in Milton's Paradise Lost where he is the 'Regent of the Sun' and 'sharpest-sighted spirit of all in heaven.'

Legend tells us that Uriel stands at the gate of the Lost Eden with a fiery sword. The Lost Eden is a term describing forgetting to Love God. The fiery sword shows that negative matter (selfish and unpure desires) are destroyed when one truly focuses their love on God. In this legend Uriel reminds humanity to Love God by using the "fire of God" (by using the fiery sword).

Uriel teaches the path of the heart, the fire of pure Love. Without this pure Love and devotion to Spirit, all spiritual study remains an intellectual pursuit, fairy gold. This understanding of true spiritual study is further supported by the tradition that Uriel brought to Earth: Alchemy, the heavenly arcana and was the giver of the Cabala to man.

Uriel rules over Monday and Wednesday and is the alchemy of universal order. He is the Governor of the East and the element of Air. He is the angel of September and may be invoked ritually by those born in that month.

Uriel's candle colors are violet, white and indigo.

Uriel's color energies are violet, white, indigo, blue, silver, and rainbow."

I think he should be put back in with Michael, Raphael and Gabriel. So there!!!
