This is just scary...Thought forms, Tulpas and what the hell are the kids thinking these days?

This semi rant is in response to the blaming of the mythical creature "Slenderman" for 2 young girls stabbing a fellow classmate.

The two 12 year olds who committed the crime did so to show their loyalty to Slenderman, an internet CreepyPasta (an online fiction site).  Alledgedly if they killed the victim, they'd get to go to Slenderman's house in the forest and become his proxies in Wisconsin...

I have just found out that there was ANOTHER slenderman blamed stabbing. Groovy. This one was in Ohio where a 13 year old girl stabbed her mother. At least this one has had mental health issues before...not that that's too great. The other two are being charged as adults for attempted murder...As well they should...

Creepy Pasta has had to put this up on it's home page:
"this site is based on fiction and it does not endorse killing."
Well no shit!! If *I* remember correctly, I knew the difference between reality and fantasy by the time I was 12 or 13....

The creator of Slenderman is "deeply saddened" by the stabbing. HIM, I feel really bad for.

But going along on this train of thought...what if Slenderman started out innocently enough as a fictional character?  And as more and more people believed in the tales and stories about him, he became more and more real? Think it's impossible? Well, it's not!

In the Western Occult Traditions and some forms of Witchcraft, you can create a thoughtform to do your bidding. I'm not gonna tellya how. That's not what I'm suggesting.

In Buddhism these thought forms are called Tulpas. They are created from the Lama or the Adept's mind. It is basically thought that has a corporeal body.

Alexandra David-NĂ©el, a Belgian-French explorer, spiritualist and Buddhist, who observed these practices in 20th century Tibet wrote that “an accomplished Bodhisattva is capable of effecting ten kinds of magic creations. The power of producing magic formations, tulkus or less lasting and materialized tulpas, does not, however, belong exclusively to such mystic exalted beings. Any human, divine or demoniac being may be possessed of it. The only difference comes from the degree of power, and this depends on the strength of the concentration and the quality of the mind itself.

Also according to her, “Once the tulpa is endowed with enough vitality to be capable of playing the part of a real being, it tends to free itself from its maker's control. This, say Tibetan occultists, happens nearly mechanically, just as the child, when his body is completed and able to live apart, leaves its mother's womb.”[11] Alexandra claimed to have created a tulpa in the image of a jolly Friar Tuck-like monk which later developed a life of its own and had to be destroyed."

I went through my expansive library and found a book by John Farris titled "The Uninvited" in which the main character, a powerful psychic, creates her own perfect man after the untimely demise of her boyfriend. An incidental yet important character is called Alexandra and she also spent time in Tibet and was deemed a Lama. She understands what the girl has done and tries to help.

In case you were wondering, I HAVE seen Slenderman and HAVE been on CreepyPasta. My DS was followed by a Slenderman like figure at one point a few years back...scary right there...since he disappeared when he got to the main street.

Remember that the thoughts that you have, whether you realize it or not, have the power to help or hurt you...
